During the year, Eurofound has continued to provide you with research findings and data on issues ranging from hybrid work, teleworking and the right to disconnect, and platform work, to care and healthcare, gender equality, minimum wages, persistent labour market imbalances, and growing inequalities, among others.

Eurofound's work programme for 2024 and Multiannual Research Programme 2025-2028 approved at annual Management Board meeting

Eurofound's 2024 work programme was approved and adopted during its annual Management Board meeting held in Dublin on 17 November. The Management Board also endorsed the Multiannual Research Programme 2025-2028. It was the first meeting for almost one third new members of the Management Board, representing governments and social partners in all EU27 Member States.

European Year of Skills: Putting skills at the top of the agenda in Ireland and the EU

How to address this skills gap in Ireland was at the centre of a ‘Skills for Jobs’ seminar and panel discussion organised by the European Commission Representation in Ireland and Eurofound, the European Foundation for the Improvement of Living and Working Conditions, which took place at Europe House in Dublin today.

First in-person meeting of National Child Guarantee Coordinators

National Child Guarantee Coordinators met at Eurofound in Dublin yesterday, the first in-person meeting to be held in a Member State. Together, National Child Guarantee Coordinators reviewed progress made in reducing child poverty and improving access to services across Europe, as well as sharing practical experiences of sectoral reform.

Eurofound launches Europe-wide survey on living and working conditions

Eurofound, in partnership with the European Training Foundation (ETF), has launched a new online survey which aims to document living and working conditions in Europe and the evolving concerns of citizens amidst the cost-of-living crisis, the war in Ukraine, and the broader post-COVID-19 context.

Eurofound’s Management Board adopts new work programme for 2023, elects new Chair

Stefania Rossi has been elected Chair of Eurofound’s Management Board at the Agency’s annual Management Board meeting in Dublin on 18 November. The annual gathering of representatives from governments, employer organisations and trade unions in all EU 27 Member States, and the European Commission and the European Parliament, also approved Eurofound’s work programme for 2023.

For the first time, the five EU Agencies came together to highlight their insights and explore the challenges and opportunities of young people in times of uncertainty at an event with the EMPL Committee in the European Parliament on 8 September.

Eurofound discusses latest research with President of Ireland

Eurofound’s Executive Director, Ivailo Kalfin, and Deputy Director, Maria Jepsen, met with President Michael D Higgins this morning to discuss latest research on issues such as trust, housing, youth, and the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on society in Europe.
